Colour layers prepared by sol-gel method

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá přípravou barevných tenkých vrstev metodou sol-gel na křemičitém a titaničitém základu. Barevnosti bylo dosahováno dopováním tenkých vrstev kationty kovů. Aby byla barevnost na tenkých vrstvách viditelná, byly kationty přidávány tak, aby jejich výsledná koncentrace vzhledem k matrici byla co nejvyšší. Snaha byla zvolenou koncentraci držet pro všechny typy připravovaných vrstev, avšak vzhledem k dodržení podmínek a poměrů při přípravě solů, musela být občas snížena. Vždy tedy byla použita maximální možná koncentrace pro danou situaci. Dále byla pozornost věnována právě hodnocení barevnosti, indexu lomu a tloušťce jednotlivých vrstev. Hodnocení indexu lomu a tloušťky bylo založeno na získaných hodnotách transmitance vrstev pomocí UV-VIS spektrometru a následného určení těchto veličin pomocí programu v Excelu, pracujícím na principu nalezení nejmenší kvadratické odchylky mezi teoretickým předpokladem a naměřenými hodnotami. Barevnost byla určována především v systému CIE L*a*b*, kdy jednotlivé barvy mezi sebou byly porovnávány na základě koeficientů L*, a*, b*, sytosti a odstínu barvy.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the preparation of coloured thin films prepared by sol-gel method. The films are based on silica and titanium matrix. Colourfulness was achieved by doping the thin films with metal cations. For visible colourfulness of thin films the cations were added in maximized concentration considering to matrix. The effort was to hold concentration for all types of cations in films, but due to the conditions and ratios between chemicals in sols, it had to be reduced occasionally. For all situation was used the maximum possible concentration. Furthermore, attention was devoted to evaluation of colourfulness, refractive index and thickness of individual layers. Rating refractive index and thickness was based on a measured layer´s transmittance by UV-VIS spectrometer, and the subsequent determination of these physical quantities by using Microsoft Excel, where was a program made. The program operates on the principle of finding the smallest square error between the theoretical premise and measured values. Chromaticity was determined mainly in the CIE L*a*b*. Colours were compared on the basis of the coefficients L*, a*, b*, colour depth and hue of colour.
