Cílem této práce je prozkoumat vliv dobové módy na filmový kostým ve třech filmových adaptacích Velkého Gatsbyho. Posuzuji jednotlivé filmy v rámci historického kontextu doby vzniku a snažím se porovnávat jejich kostýmovou výpravu s obdobím, které mají reprezentovat – s dvacátými lety dvacátého století. The aim of this thesis is to examine the influence of contemporary fashion on film costume in three film adaptations of The Great Gatsby. I assess each film within the historical context of the time of its production and attempt to compare its costume design with the period it is intended to represent, the 1920s.
