Creating realistic 3d models with photogrammetry

Abstract:

Cílem práce je vytvoření realistických 3D modelů pomocí fotogrammetrie a následné porovnání výsledků s dalšími metodami modelování a skenování. V teoretické části bakalářské práce bude seznámení s tvorbou realistických 3D modelů s využitím fotogrammetrie. Úvodní část bude zaměřena na obecný princip fotogrammetrie a její výhody a nevýhody oproti jiným metodám. Další kapitoly jsou věnovány prostředí použitého fotogrammetrického programu a dalších potřebných modelovacích aplikací a programů. V praktické části budou vytvořeny modely libovolných objektů či postav. Jednotlivé modely budou vytvořeny jak pomocí fotogrammetrických nástrojů, tak i alternativních metod, mezi které patří například laserové skenování nebo ruční modelování. Jednotlivé modely vytvořené pomocí různých metod budou porovnány z pohledu složitosti vytváření a kvality výsledku.

Abstract:

The purpose of this work is to create realistic 3D models with photogrammetry and comparing the results with other methods of modeling and scanning. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis will introduce the creation of realistic 3D models using photogrammetry. The introduction will focus on the general principle of photogrammetry and its advantages and disadvantages compared to other methods. The other chapters are dedicated to interfaces used in the photogrammetry program and other necessary modeling applications and programs. In the practical part, models of any objects or figures will be created. The individual model will be created using both photogrammetric tools and alternative methods, such as laser scanning or manual modeling. Individual models created using different methods will be compared in terms of the complexity of the creation and quality of the result.
