Knowledge of basic first aid on high school and comprehensive school

Abstract:

Cíl práce: Cílem teoretické části bakalářské práce bylo popsat vybrané akutně vzniklé stavy a vhodný postup první pomoci postiženému. Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit jaké mají studenti na středních školách a víceletých gymnáziích znalosti o základní první pomoci. Dále pak srovnat jejich výsledky, zda se na různých školách významně lišily. Nakonec porovnat výsledky studentů s jejich pedagogy. Metodika práce: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 90 studentů 22 pedagogů, kterým jsme o první pomoci dělali přednášky, jelikož jsem chtěla zpětnou vazbu na tuto výuku. Průzkum byl uskutečněn asi půl roku po těchto lekcích na školách: gymnázium Olgy Havlové, zúčastnilo se zde 33 studentů ve kvartě, dále umělecká škola AVE ART se 36 žáky ve 3. ročníku a SŠHS a VOŠ, kde bylo přítomných 21 studentů ve 2. ročníku. Pro zhodnocení znalostí studentů a pedagogů byl použit anonymní a nestandardizovaný dotazník. Výsledky práce: Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že teoretické znalosti studentů různých škol o základní první pomoci byly u většiny otázek nižší, zvláště u otázek týkajících se kardiopulmonální resuscitace a bezvědomí. Výsledky pedagogů byly spíše orientační. Nicméně konečná míra úspěšnosti studentů i pedagogů byla pod naše očekávání. Závěr: Praktická část poukázala na nedostatky v teoretických znalostech první pomoci studentů i pedagogů. Školy a pedagogové by měly měli více dbát na výuku tohoto tématu.

Abstract:

The aim of the work: The theoretical part of bachelor thesis was aimed to describe acute life-threatening conditions and suitable process of first aid for the injured person. The practical part was aimed to find out the theoretical knowledge of basic first aid on high schools and comprehensive schools. Next was to compare their results to see if they differ too much on various schools . Last task was to compare results of students and their teachers. Work methodology: The research group was formed of 90 students and 22 pedagogues that we lectured on first aid, because I wanted feedback on this lesson. The survey was realized about half a year after those lessons at these schools: the Olga Havlová grammar school, here 33 students participated in the quart class, next the art school AVE ART with 36 students in the 3rd class and SŠHS and VOŠ with 21 students in the 2nd class. To evaluate the knowledge of students and teachers was used the anonymous and non-standardized questionnaire. Results of the work: By the investigating was found, that the theoretical knowledge of students on various schools about the basic first aid were lower in most questions, especially in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and unconsciousness. The results of the pedagogues were rather indicative. However, the final success rate of students and pedagogues was below our expectations. Conclusion: Practical part pointed out shortcomings of students and pedagogues in the theoretical knowledge of first aid. Schools and pedagogues should pay more attention to the teaching of this subject.
