Gender in Education

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem Gender ve vzdělávání. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí- teoretické a praktické. Cílem této práce je dětské pojetí genderu. Dále zjistit, zda jsou děti pod vlivem genderových stereotypů, které se objevují ve škole i v rodině. V teoretické části vymezuji pojmy jako gender, genderové role, genderové stereotypy, socializace, sociální role, genderová role, výchova, vzdělávání. Pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu analýzy produktů člověka (analýzy textu) bylo zjištěno, že dětské pojetí genderu je pod vlivem genderových stereotypů zakotvených především v rodině a že genderovým stereotypům podléhá i vzdělávání ve škole.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with Gender in Education. The work consists of two parts- theoretical and practical. Main goal of this thesis is children´s concept of gender. And to find out, if children are under the influence of gender stereotypes that occur both in the school and in the family. In the theoretical part is define terms such as gender, gender roles, gender stereotypes, socialization, social role, education. Using qualitative research into the analysis of human products (text analysis), it was found that the child ś concept of gender is under the influence of gender stereotypes embedded primarily in the and that school education is under influence of gender stereotypes.
