Práca sa venuje vyjednávaniu a hlasovaniu v Rade Európskej únie po tzv. východnom rozšírení v roku 2004. Základnou výskumnou otázkou v tejto súvislosti je definovať a vymedziť arénu vyjednávania a špecificky jeho záverečnú fázu – hlasovanie v kontexte adaptácie nových členských krajín do formálnych procesov vyjednávania v Rade EÚ.
