Childrens Center Veská and life stories of chosen klients with focus on mother with children

Abstract:

Práce s názvem „Dětské centrum Veská a životní příběhy klientů se zaměřením na vybrané klientky – matky“ se zabývá analýzou životních osudů matek, které se dostaly do Dětského centra Veská, jako jeho klientky z různých důvodů, pro které se nebyly schopné dostatečně a vhodným způsobem postarat o sebe a své děti. Teoretická část práce se věnuje charakteristice dětského centra, jako instituci, která se věnuje pomoci dětem (případně i jejich matkám), které nemají možnost vyrůstat v harmonickém rodinném prostředí. Práce stručně uvádí i potřebnou legislativu, na základě které dochází k transformaci ústavní péče o děti. V dalších kapitolách se práce dotýká problematiky dětského domova, jako výchozí situace pro mnohé klientky matky. Empirická část definuje tří výzkumné otázky, na které je, na základě kvalitativního výzkumného šetření, v závěru práce odpovězeno. Výzkumné šetření probíhalo formou volných rozhovorů s klientkami, pozorováním a studiem osobní dokumentace jednotlivých klientek. Výstupem jsou kasuistiky jednotlivých klientek.

Abstract:

Thesis entitled “Children’s Center Veská and life stories of clients with focus on chosen clients – mothers“ is devoted to analysis of life stories of mothers who came to Children's Center Veska and who as its clients for various reasons were not able to appropriately take care of themselves and their children. The theoretical part deals with characteristics of children's center as institution that is dedicated to helping children (and their mothers), who do not have option to grow up in harmonic family environment. Thesis briefly presents necessary legislative, which leads to transformation of institutional childcare. Subsequent chapters mention the issue of children's center as starting situation for many client mothers. The empirical part defines three research questions, which are answered in conclusion based on qualitative research. The research survey took form of open dialogues with clients, observation and study of personal documentation. The outcome are case studies of individual clients.
