Event Strategy of the “Showdown” Company

Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá podrobnou problematikou eventové komunikace, trendy eventové komunikace v pokeru, strategie marketingu kasin, částí se dotkne i zákonné úpravy o hazardních hrách v ČR. Cílem práce je potvrdit nebo vyvrátit uváděnou hypotézu a navrhnout organizaci řešení v oblasti eventové strategie. V práci je zahrnut profil společnosti Showdown, který se provádí důkladnou rešerší a také jsou k dispozici některá interní data, zaměří se na rozbor jednotlivých, aktuálně nabízených pokerových turnajů a již uskutečněných eventů. Dále se v práci uvádí komparace eventů s konkurenčními eventy, která se provádí vlastním terénním výzkumem konkurenčních kasin a jejich služeb. K dosažení cílů se zorganizuje dotazníkové šetření přímo v organizaci a interpretace získaných dat. Dle výsledků se zaměříme na v úvodu uváděnou hypotézu, která je zhodnocena. Následně je navržen několikadenní event, narozeninový festival, který by podle dotazníkového šetření, splnil očekávání většiny respondentů. Návrh obsahuje podrobný plán na každý večer, turnaje jsou navrženy podle oblíbenosti respondentů a také je doplněn o rozpočet.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issues of event communication, trends in event communication in poker, casino marketing strategies, and partially with the legal regulation on gambling in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to confirm or refute the stated hypothesis and to propose the organization of solutions in the field of event strategy. It includes a profile of the Showdown poker club, which is conducted by a thorough research using some of the internal data, while focusing on the analysis of the individual, currently offered poker tournaments as well as events that have already taken place. Furthermore, the thesis presents a comparison of competing events, which is performed by proper field research of competing casinos and their services. To achieve the goals, a questionnaire survey will be organized directly in the organization with subsequent interpretation of the obtained data. After obtaining the results, the work will focus on evaluation of the hypothesis presents in the introduction. Subsequently, a several-day event is proposed, an anniversary festival, which, according to a questionnaire survey, would meet the expectations of most respondents. The proposal contains a detailed schedule for each evening, the tournaments are designed according to the popularity among the respondents and is also supplemented by a budget.
