The current state and history of extinct settlements - innovative tools for visualization of the memory of the landscape

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá zaniklými sídly a možnostmi jejich uchování v povědomí společnosti za pomoci moderních počítačových programů. Literární rešerše shromažďuje poznatky o počátcích osídlení na našem území s ohledem na pohraniční oblasti, v rámci kterých je následně popisována specifická architektura typická pro daný region. Dále je shrnuta nová role zaniklých sídel, a to jak s ohledem na Českou republiku, tak i na zahraničí. Hlavním úkolem této práce je 3D vizualizace části zaniklého sídla Hraničky, a to jak z doby před jeho zánikem, tak v současnosti. K vytvoření 3D vizualizací sídla byl použit software SketchUp Pro spolu s CAD a GIS programy, ve kterých byly zpracovávány historické a novodobé mapové podklady. Výsledek aplikační části diplomové práce má sloužit k uchování povědomí o krajinných a sídelních změnách, která nastaly v důsledku odsunu německého obyvatelstva z pohraničních oblastí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with extinct settlements and the possibilities of keeping them in the consciousness of society with the help of modern computer programs. Literary research gathers information about the beginnings of settlement in our territory with regard to the border areas, within which the specific architecture typical for the region is subsequently described. Furthermore, the new role of defunct settlements is summarized, both with regard to the Czech Republic and abroad. The main task of this work is 3D visualization of a part of the extinction settlement Hraničky, from its time before its extinction and in the present. To create 3D visualization of the extinct settlement software SketchUp Pro was used along with CAD and GIS programs, in which historical and modern maps were processed. The result of the application part of the diploma thesis is intended to preserve the awareness of landscape and settlement changes that occurred as a result of the removal of the German population from the border areas.
