Swimming for people with disabilities in the historical context in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na plavání osob se zdravotním postižením v historickém kontextu v České republice. Cílem této práce bylo získat, zhodnotit a interpretovat relevantní fakta týkající se plavecké aktivity osob se zdravotním postižením na území České republiky v souvislosti s příslušnými vědními obory a ve vztahu k současnosti. Za hlavní úkol si ve své práci dáváme představit historii plavání zdravotně postižených a současně metody, které jsou k plavání využívány. V teoretické části se stručně zabýváme historií plavání a současně popisujeme zdravotní postižení a jeho klasifikaci. V hlavní části práce se zaměřujme na postupný historický vývoj plavání zdravotně postižených na území České republiky. Dále představujeme možné plavecké metody, které jsou u nás pro plavání osob se zdravotním postižením využívané. Popisujeme také klasifikaci IPC a závody zdravotně postižených. Ke zpracování této nevýzkumné práce jsme využili metodu obsahové analýzy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the swimming of people with disabilities in the historical context in the Czech Republic. The aim of this work was to obtain, evaluate and interpret relevant facts concerning the swimming activities of people with disabilities in the Czech Republic in connection with the relevant disciplines and in relation to the present. The main task in our work is to present the history of swimming for the disabled and at the same time the methods that are used for swimming. In the theoretical part we briefly deal with the history of swimming and at the same time describe the disability and its classification. In the main part of the work we focus on the gradual historical development of swimming for the disabled in the Czech Republic. We also present possible swimming methods that are used in our country for swimming by people with disabilities. We also describe the IPC classification and races for the disabled. We used the method of content analysis to process this non-research work.
