Decision-making process in business management

Abstract:

The main goal of the thesis is to apply the chosen multiple-criteria decision-making methods to the candidate selection process. Firstly, we determine the theoretical principles of a multiple-criteria decision-making in management as well as individual methods to choose the optimal alternative. Further, we present the company Gen-Bio which provided the necessary material for our study whose purpose is to select a new employee for the position of nurse within the company Gen-Bio. Two different methods are applied to choose the optimal candidate. The results of the methods are presented and compared at the end. Based on the results obtained, we propose the appropriate candidate for the post but also the basis that can be used for different multi-criteria decision-making within a company.

Abstract:

L'objectif principal de ce mémoire de master est d'appliquer les méthodes de prise de décision multicritere choisies au processus de sélection des candidats. Pour atteindre ce but, nous déterminons d'abord les bases théoriques de la prise de décision multicritere en gestion et nous décrivons les méthodes individuelles pour choisir l'alternative optimale. Par la suite, nous présentons l'entreprise Gen-Bio qui nous a fourni les données nécessaires pour notre étude dont le but est de sélectionner un nouvel employé pour le poste d'infirmier au sein de l'entreprise Gen-Bio. Afin de choisir le candidat optimal, nous appliquons deux méthodes différentes que l'entreprise pourrait réutiliser a l'avenir. Les résultats des deux méthodes sont présentés et comparés a la fin. A partir des résultats obtenus, nous proposons le candidat approprié pour le poste mais également la base qui peut etre utilisée pour différentes prises de décision multicritere au sein d'une entreprise.
