Development of Critical Thinking and Mutual Tolerance Through Working with Interpreted Reading on Religious Topics

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce je zaměřena na tvorbu pracovních listů rozvíjejících kritické myšlení žáků 2. stupně základní školy a budování vzájemné tolerance žáků pocházejících s odlišného kulturního prostředí prostřednictvím práce s texty s náboženskou tematikou. Práce vymezuje problematiku interpretace textů spjatých s náboženskou tematikou a rozvoje kritického myšlení žáků metodami používanými v programu RWCT (Čtením a psaním ke kritickému myšlení). Hlavním cílem je předložení osmi pracovních listů tematicky zaměřených na pět velkých náboženství světa ̶ judaismus, křesťanství, islám, hinduismus a buddhismus. Prací s těmito pracovními listy je možno rozvíjet vzájemnou toleranci a schopnost kritického myšlení žáků.

Abstract:

Presented diploma thesis is focused on creating worksheets supporting critical thinking of lower secondary school students and building their mutual tolerance with the help of interpreted reading on religious topics. The thesis describes the topic of interpreted texts connected with religious topics and critical thinking development through RWCT (Reading and writing for critical thinking) programme methods. The main aim of the thesis is to present eight worksheets thematically oriented on five big world religions - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. Working with these worksheets helps developing mutual tolerance and critical thinking skills amongst students.
