Using of payment cards in the Czech Republic and european states

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je vyhodnotit využití platebních karet v České republice, Polsku, Rakousku, Švédsku a Nizozemsku. Ke zpracování bakalářské práce jsou využity statistiky dostupné na portále Evropské centrální banky. V úvodní části jsou popsány jednotlivé platební nástroje, historie platebních karet a jejich využití. V praktické části je využit marketingový výzkum, jehož výsledky budou použity ke srovnání s obdobnými výzkumy dostupnými na webových stránkách centrálních bank srovnávaných států. V závěrečné části je vyhodnocena podobnost či odlišnost jednotlivých zemí vůči České republice ve využití platebních karet.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the use of payment cards in the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Sweden and the Netherlands. Statistics available on the European Central Bank portal are used to compile the bachelor's thesis. The introductory section describes the individual payment instruments, the history of payment cards and their use. In the practical part, marketing research is conducted and the results obtained will be compared to similar research available on the central banks' websites of the countries being compared. In the final part, the similarities or differences of these countries are then compared to the Czech Republic based on the use of payment cards.
