This thesis should illustrate the influences of popular culture on the global form of English. This bachelor's thesis describes the effect the phenomenon of K-wave has on the English vocabulary of fans. It introduces the concept of translingual words as a new way to look at language varieties. Tato práce by měla ilustrovat vliv populární kultury na globální podobu angličtiny. Práce popisuje vliv fenoménu K-wave na anglický slovník fanoušků. Představí koncept translinguálních slov jako nový způsob pohledu na jazykové varianty.
