Stress and ways to avoid its negative effects in the work environment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na stres pracovníků pomáhajících profesí a možnosti jeho předcházení v pracovním prostředí. Cílem práce je zjistit na základě aktuálních teoretických a praktických poznatků, zda poskytují zaměstnavatelé svým zaměstnancům dostatečnou prevenci proti stresu. Zabývá se výzkumem vlastní psychohygieny a zkoumá, který z jednotlivých stresorů nejvíce ohrožuje zaměstnance. Teoretická část nabízí vysvětlení pojmů stres, rozdělení stresu, stresory, syndrom vyhoření, vliv a důsledky stresu na zdraví. V teoretické části jsou blíže specifikováni pracovníci v pomáhajících profesích a jejich pracovní zátěž. Nedílnou součástí je také prevence stresu a syndromu vyhoření. V rámci analytické části byl použit kvantitativní výzkum metodou dotazníkového šetření v oblasti pomáhajících profesí. Dotazníkové šetření odpovídá na otázky: „Jak pečuje o své zaměstnance zaměstnavatel v rámci stresu?“ „Jak pečuje zaměstnanec sám o sebe v rámci prevence proti stresu?“ „Co nejvíce vnímají zaměstnanci během výkonu své práce jako stresor?“ V závěru jsou ukázány výsledky kvantitativního šetření.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the stress of workers in helping proffesions and the possibilities of stress prevention in a working environment. The goal of the work is to find out, based on current theoretical and practical knowledge, whether employers provide their employees with sufficient preventive measures against stress. It deals with research into one’s own psychohygiene and investigates which of the individual stressors most threatens employees. The theoretical part offers an explanation of the term stress, distribution of stress, stressors, burnout syndrome, the influence and consenquences of stress on health. Workers in helping professions and their workload is been elaborated in the theoretical part. Prevention of stress and burnout syndrome is also an integral part. As part of the analytical part, quantitative research using the questionnaire survey method was used between four areas of helping professions. The questionnaire survey answers questions: „How does the employer take care of its employees in the context of stress?“ „How does the employee take care of himself in the context of stress prevention?“ „What do employees perceive most as a stressor during their work?“ In the conclusion, they are shown the results of a quantitative survey.
