The condition of the sole of the foot depending on the occurance of overweight and obesity in older school-age children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá závislostí nadváhy a obezity se stavem plosky nohy. Cílem práce je zjistit závislost mezi nadváhou a obezitou a výskytem nefyziologického postavení plosky nohy u dětí staršího školního věku a vytvořit komplexní intervenční kompenzačně-prevenční program pro cílovou skupinu. Teoretická část práce rozebírá východiska dané problematiky, a to biologický, psychosociální a motorický vývoj dětí staršího školního věku. Dále se zabývá anatomií dolní končetiny, a to převážně části nohy a nožní klenby a onemocněním postihujícím nohu a nožní klenbu. Vzhledem tomu, že jde o závislost obezity a stavu plosky nohy, zabýváme se v teoretické části též nadváhou a obezitou. Především příčinami, léčbou a onemocněními týkajícími se obezity a nadváhy. Praktická část je tvořena výzkumem, který zkoumá již zmíněnou závislost. Testování probandů proběhlo na ZŠ a MŠ Stod. Jednalo se o 70 žáků ve věkovém rozmezí 11 - 15 let. Nejpodstatnější použité metody byly metody plantogramu dle indexu Srdečného a metoda Body mass indexu. Po vyhodnocení získaných dat jsme dosáhli výsledků potvrzujících, že závislost mezi obezitou a stavem plosky nohy není statisticky významná. Také jsme díky výsledkům zjistili, že 34 % probandů má vyšší BMI než 25, což znamená, že mají nadváhu až obezitu. Dále výsledky vypovídají, že 47 % probandů má ploché nohy. Vytvořený komplexní intervenční kompenzačně-prevenční program je ve formě brožury. Tato brožura byla dodána do základní školy, kde proběhlo testování, jako pomůcka, která slouží jako zpestření při výuce. Tato brožura může ovšem sloužit i samotným probandům jako pomoc při kompenzaci plochých nohou.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the dependence of overweight and obesity and the condition of the foot. The aim of the work is to find out the dependence between overweight and obesity and the occurrence of non-physiological position of the foot plate among older school age children and to create a complex intervention compensation and prevention programme for the target group. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the starting points of the given issue, namely the biological, psychosocial and motoric development of older school age children. Further, it deals with the anatomy of the lower limb, predominantly the legs, the arch of the foot and their related disorders. Because of obesity and the condition of the sole of the foot dependence, we also deal with overweight and obesity in the theoretical part. In particular, with the causes, treatment and diseases related to obesity and overweight. The practical part is made up of research that examines the already mentioned dependence. Testing probands took place at Elementary School and Kindergarten in Stod. The subjects were 70 pupils aged 11-15 years. The most important methods used were the Index by Srdečný and the Body Mass Index method. After evaluating the data obtained, we have achieved the results that the dependence between obesity and the condition of the foot is not statistically significant. We also found that 34 % of the probands had a BMI higher than 25, which means that they are overweight and obese. Furthermore, the results show that 47 % of probands were flat-footed. The comprehensive intervention compensation and prevention program is in the form of a brochure. This brochure was delivered to the elementary school, where testing was performed as an aid to diversifying learning. However, this brochure can also serve the probands themselves to help compensate for flat feet.
