Outlook add-on for intelligent email classification

Abstract:

Úkolem této teze je vyvinout a popsat rozšíření ve formě pluginu pro emailovou službu Outlook, který bude uživatelům pomáhat s klasifikací emailů do složek. Hlavním účelem tohoto pluginu je ušetřit čas tím, že plugin nabídne možnost přesunout email jedním kliknutím do cílové složky. Toto rozšíření pro volbu cílové složky využívá strojové učení. První část této teze se zaměřuje na průzkum aktuálních možností klasifikace emailů a poté na průzkum .NET knihoven poskytující strojové učení. V následující části je popsán vývoj rozšíření a použité metody.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is to develop and describe an extension in the form of an add-on for the email service Outlook that helps users with email classification into folders. The main purpose of the add-on is to save people's time by offering a possibility to move an email to a destination folder with one click. The extension uses machine learning for the decision of the resulting folder. The first part of the thesis focuses on research of current classification possibilities and then on the research of .NET libraries providing machine learning. In the following part, the development of the extension and used techniques are described.
