Neuromuscular facilitation in treating the patient hemiplegic adult.

Abstract:

The Kabat technique, developed between 1946 and 1951, originates from the observation of themovements in sport and dance, Kabat noticed that in order to achieve the optimal result, these movement were made following the diagonale lines with respect to the sagittal axis of the body, and that in these diagonal movements a rotation occured. He clinically demonstrait (and it was sperimentally confirmed by cellhorn and colleagues) that in voluntary physical activity, muscles are not used separately, but are functionally clustered in complex schemes (global patterns), composed of diagonal-spiral movements, that combine flexio-extensio, adductio-abductio and rotatio.

Abstract:

La scelta dell'argomento principale di questa tesi, la sindrome spalla-mano deriva da un un'esperienza di tirocinio in area neurologica. Durante il tirocinio svoltosi a Lecce presso la struttura riabilitativa Fisiodinamic mi si ? presentata l'occasione di vedere e di trattare pazienti neurologici uno dei quali affetto da sindrome spalla-mano. La signora era stata affetta da ictus ischemico nei nuclei basali dell'emisfero cerebrale sinistro da cui poi era derivata un'emiplegia destra. Oltre a presentare afasia,aprassia e dolore alla mobilizzazione della spalla destra, la paziente svilupp? nel giro di due settimane un gonfiore sospetto alla mano e all'avambraccio destro accompagnato da dolore alla mobilizzazione e rigidit? articolare.
