Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje nejstaršímu a nejdéle fungujícímu nacistickému koncentračnímu táboru Dachau. Autorka se zabývá jeho založením v roce 1933, chodem tábora a následně jeho osvobozením americkou armádou na jaře 1945. Zároveň se zabývá transformací tábora, jakožto výchovného zařízení a věznice, pro politické vězně z Bavorska, v nástroj pro systematické zneškodňování osob, jež se pro nacistický režim staly nepohodlnými. V další části popisuje, jak vypadal běžný den vězně v roce 1933 a v neposlední řadě objasňuje kategorizaci vězeňských skupin v táboře.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focussed on the oldest and longest-running Nazi concentration camp, Dachau. The author deals with its foundation in 1933, the operation of the camp and subsequently its liberation by the American army in the spring of 1945. In addition, the transformation of the camp, as an educational facility and prison for political prisoners from Bavaria, into a tool for the systematic destruction of people who represented an uncomfortable situation for the Nazi régime is considered. The next part describes a normal day in a prisoner's life in 1933 and, last but not least, clarifies the classification of prison groups in the camp.
