Employment of People with Disabilities through Cooperation of Employers with Supported Employment Agencies

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je analyzovat životní situaci lidí se zdravotním postižením a zodpovědět hlavní otázku: Jak motivuje agentura pro podporované zaměstnávání zaměstnavatele ke spolupráci a k zaměstnávání lidí se zdravotním postižením? Vycházíme z předpokladu, že lidé se zdravotním postižením jsou znevýhodněni na trhu práce, mj. kvůli nízké motivaci zaměstnavatelů tyto osoby zaměstnávat. Domníváme se, že agentura pro podporované zaměstnávání může v tomto ohledu pomoci. Poskytuje podporu osobám se zdravotním postižením k získání a udržení si pracovního místa a snaží se motivovat zaměstnavatele k tomu, aby tyto osoby zaměstnali. Výzkumná část práce je zaměřena na to, co motivuje zaměstnavatele k zaměstnávání lidí se zdravotním postižením a ke spolupráci s agenturou pro podporované zaměstnávání. Dále se zabývá tím, co agentura zaměstnavatelům nabízí a co zaměstnavatele v její nabídce zajímá. Výzkumné výsledky ukazují, že úloha agentury pro podporované zaměstnávání v motivaci zaměstnavatelů k zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením může být různá. Avšak ve většině případů agentura v motivaci zaměstnavatelů k zaměstnávání lidí se zdravotním postižením určitou roli hraje, mnohdy dokonce roli podstatnou.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the life situation of people with disabilities and answer the main question: How does a supported employment agency motivate employers to cooperation and employment of people with disabilities? We start with the presumption that people with disabilities are disadvantaged on the labour market, i.a. because of low motivation of employers to employ these people. We suppose that the supported employment agency can help in this respect. It offers people with disabilities support to get and keep a job and it also tries to motivate employers to employ these people. The research part of this thesis is focused on what motivates the employers to employment of people with disabilities and to cooperation with a supported employment agency. It then deals with what the agency offers to employers and what part of its offer the employers are interested in. Research results indicate that the role of supported employment agencies in the motivation of employers to employment of people with disabilities can be variable. However, in most of the cases the agency plays a certain role in motivation of employers to employment of people with disabilities, often even an essential role.
