Specifics of Gifted Children from the Perspective of their Parents

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na téma nadání v dětském věku. V teoretické části jsou uve-dena základní témata, vztahující se k problematice nadání. První kapitola je zaměřena na popis definice nadání, jeho vývoj v dějinách lidstva, druhy nadání a identifikaci nadaných dětí. V další kapitole se zabýváme podporou nadaných dětí, tedy zákony a organizacemi, které se orientují na rozvoj a podporu nadání, a to jak v České republice, tak i v zahraničí. Jsou zde také uvedeny konkrétní alternativy, které napomáhají k rozvoji nadání. Třetí kapi-tola popisuje základní charakteristiky nadaných dětí, ale i problémy, které se v kontextu s nadáním mohou objevit. Poslední kapitola je pak zaměřena na to, jak by měla probíhat výchova v domácím prostředí, tedy před vstupem do školy, aby měla co neefektivnější vliv na budoucí vývoj nadání dítěte. Praktická část se pak orientuje na zjištění konkrétních specifik, jež se u nadaných dětí ob-jevují. Jde zejména o popis konkrétních situací a příhod, s nimiž se můžeme u těchto dětí setkat.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the topic of gifts in the children's age. The theoretical part descri-bes basic topics, related to the issue of talent. The first chapter is focused on the description of the definition of talent, its development in the history of mankind, the types of talent and the identification of gifted children. In the next chapter, we are interested in supporting talented children, laws and organisations, which are oriented to the development and promotion of talent, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. There are also given specific alternatives that contribute to the development of the talents. The third chapter describes the fundamental characteristics of gifted children, but also the problems that in the context of the gifts may appear. The last chapter is then focused on how education should take place in the domestic environment, i.e. before the entry to the school, to have an influence on the future development of the talent of the child. The practical part is then directed to determine the specific particularities of the talented children. In particular, a description of the specific situations and events, which can appear for these children.
