Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the themes in Frank Herbert's Dune. Thesis is divided into five chapters. First part deals with where Herbert's inspiration might come from and the rest of the chapters deals with relevant themes of Dune specifically ecology, religion and philosophy, politics and culture.
Abstract:
Cílem této bakalářské práce je tématicky analyzovat román Franka Herberta Duna. Práce je rozdělena na pět kapitol. Úvodní část je věnována možným inspiracím Franka Herberta a další kapitoly postupně zkoumají jednotlivé hlavní motivy obsažené v tomto románu zejména ekologii, náboženství a filozofii, politiku a kulturu.
