Verification of normality

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce na téma "Ověřování normality" je podat přehled různých metod ověřování normality, a to jak testů, tak grafických metod, testů normality vyskytujících se ve vybraných statistických paketech a vyzkoušet účinnost testů na náhodně generovaných datech. Důležitost testování normality, jak numericky, tak graficky vychází ze skutečnosti, že mnoho statistických analýz předpokládá normální rozdělení: analýza rozptylu, t-testy nebo vícenásobnou regrese. Testování normality umožňuje učinit závěry na základě šetření výběru pro celou populaci ve vztahu s intervaly spolehlivosti a testy hypotéz.

Abstract:

The goal of my Bachelor thesis on "Verification of normality" is to provide an overview of various methods of verification of normality. That is test graphical methods, testing normality occurring in the statistical programs and selected statistical tests to test the effectiveness of the randomly generated data. The importance of testing normality, numerically and graphically, both based on the fact that many statistical analyses assume a normal distribution: analysis of variance, t-tests or multiple regression. Testing of normality allows make conclusions on the basis of the investigation of choice for the whole population in relation to confidence intervals and hypotheses tests.
