Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá příčinami rozpadu britské aristokracie v mezinárodně uznávaném románu Kazua Ishigura Soumrak dne. Práce se nadále zaměřuje na odlišení historické reality od fikce zobrazené v románu. Příčiny pádu britské aristokracie jsou zde zkoumány převážně z pohledu hlavní postavy románu, Lorda Darlingtona, a zahrnují jak politické, tak ekonomické a sociální aspekty úpadku.
Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is to provide individual reasons leading to aristocracy’s decline in the internationally-recognized novel Remains of the Day written by Kazuo Ishiguro. The thesis seeks to distinguish novel’s historical reality and fiction.
