Centrální banky v současnosti používají k řešení svých makroekonomických modelů linearizační metodu. Linearizace bohužel vede k opomenutí vlivu rizika na rozhodování firem a domácností, které se tudíž v linearizovaném modelu chovají jako kdyby nečelili nejistotě ohledně budoucího vývoje.
