Bakalářská diplomová práce pojednává o roli umělce ve společnosti a její proměně za posledních pět set let. Úkolem popisné části práce je představit roli umělce ve společnosti v průběhu dějin. Analytická část práce se věnuje analýze shod a rozdílů v roli umělce v období italské renesance a ve 20. století. Zjištění budou vycházet z textů Giorgia Vasariho a Paula Johnsona. The bachelor thesis discusses the social role of artists and its changes over the last five thousand years. The descriptive part portrays the role of an artist in society during the history. The analytical part focuses on the analysis of similarities and differences regarding the roles of the Italian Renaissance artists and the 20th century's artists.
