GDR as a post-totalitarian regime

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá Německou demokratickou republikou v období posttotalitarismu v letech 1971 až 1989. Teorie se opírá o teze a kritéria Juana J.Linze, a to v oblasti ideologie a politické mobilizace obyvatelstva. V rámci narativní analýzy pracujeme s již zhotovenými rozhovory pamětníků tehdejší NDR. Dle našich kritérií jsou vyhledávány prvky vztahující se k tomuto tématu, mezi ně patří slábnoucí víra v ideologii, rostoucí počet opozičních skupin z řad obyvatel či zakládání zájmových spolků bez dohledu tehdejšího režimu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with German Democratic Republic in the era of post-totalitarianism in years 1971-1989. The theory is based on thesis and criteria of Juan J. Linz. In the field of ideology and political mobilisation. Within the narrative analysis is worked with already prepared interviews with today's witnesses at GDR. According to our criteria there are searched elements related to this topic, among them is related weakening faith in ideology, growing number of opposition groups among the population and the establishment of association of interest without the supervision of the former regime.
