Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o zkratkách. Teoretická část se skládá ze tří kapitol, které představují dvojí možné pojetí termínu zkratka a nesnadnost jeho definice, stručné shrnutí toho, jak se zkratkami zacházela česká i anglofonní lingvistická tradice přibližně od doby druhé světové války, a v neposlední řadě i dělení a druhy zkratek v češtině v porovnání s angličtinou. This bachelor thesis is concerned with abbreviations. The theoretical part consists of three chapters.
