Structured products distributed by a brokerage firm CYRRUS, a.s.

Anotace:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá možností investice do skupiny strukturovaných produktů označovaných jako investiční certifikáty. V první kapitole je představen tento investiční nástroj, druhy investičních certifikátů, jejich vztah k podkladovému aktivu a finanční rizika spojená s investičními certifikáty. Blíže je popsána konstrukce garantovaných a bonusových certifikátů. V prakticky orientované části práce jsou představeny investiční certifikáty distribuované obchodníkem s cennými papíry CYRRUS, a.s. v letech 2010-2013. Tato skupina investičních certifikátů je zkoumána z hlediska emitenta, doby splatnosti a měny, ve které byla investice realizována. Dále jsou u vybraných certifikátů popsány jejich konkrétní vlastnosti a sledován vývoj cen podkladových aktiv. Tyto investice jsou poté hodnoceny podle kritéria čisté současné hodnoty.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of investing into structured products intended for the retail market. The first chapter introduces this type of financial instrument, different types of structured products, their relation to the underlying asset and financial risks associated with structured products. Structure and characteristics of capital guaranteed products and bonus certificates are described more extensively. The following chapter describes structured products distributed by a brokerage firm CYRRUS, a.s. between 2010 and 2013. The issuer, maturity and currency of these structured products are analysed. Furthermore, specific characteristics and behaviour of selected structured products are described in depth. Changes in prices of underlying assets of these products are monitored as well. These investments are then evaluated based on the criteria of net present value.
