Economic diplomacy of selected member states of the European Union

Abstract:

Cílem závěrečné práce je popsání, porovnání a vyhodnocení modelů ekonomické diplomacie, které jsou aplikovány ve státech Evropské unie. Práce je rozdělena do 2 kapitol. Obsahuje 16 grafů a 24 tabulek. První kapitola je věnovaná definování, historii, významu a úkolům ekonomické diplomacie. Také se věnuje hlavním aktérům a popisuje základní modely ekonomické diplomacie. Závěrečná kapitola se zabývá výsledky práce. Výsledky práce ukazují že nejefektivnější model je aplikován v Rakousku, kde se uplatňuje model třetí agentury a kde je ekonomická diplomacie decentralizována, a není řízena rakouskou vládou.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to describe, compare and evaluate the models of economic diplomacy applied in the EU countries. The thesis is divided into 2 chapters. It contains 16 graphs and 24 tables. The first chapter is devoted to the definition, history, importance and tasks of economic diplomacy. It also discusses the main actors and describes the basic models of economic diplomacy. The final chapter deals with the results of the thesis. The results of the thesis show that the most effective model is applied in Austria, where the third agency model is applied and where economic diplomacy is decentralised and not controlled by the Austrian government.
