Children social functioning after their stay in diagnostic institution for children.

Abstract:

Moje bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice sociálního fungování dětí, které byly po absolvování pobytu v dětském diagnostickém ústavu předány zpět do péče rodičů. Do ústavního zařízení se dostaly pro výchovné problémy. V teoretické části vymezuji základní pojmy jako dítě, rodina, sociálně- právní ochrana dětí, ústavní výchova. V metodologické části popisuji průběh výzkumu. Při práci jsem využila kvalitativní metodu výzkumu. Použila jsem techniku triangulace dat - data jsem získala ze tří zdrojů. Prvním byly osobní spisy dětí, které vede dětský diagnostický ústav, zpracovala jsem deset kazuistik. Dále jsem využila informace z dotazníků dětem a jejich sociálním pracovníkům. Zjištění ukazují, že sociální fungování těchto dětí je velmi individuální a závisí na mnoha faktorech. Zvýšená pozornost pomáhajících profesí by měla být zaměřena na pomoc a podporu fungování rodiny jako celku. Celkový počet slov je 11 343.

Abstract:

My thesis is about the social functioning of children, who were returned back to their parents after their stay, for their problems with behaviour, in diagnostic institutions. The basic definitions such are: ´child, family, social protection of children, etc.´ are defined in the theoretical part. The methodological part focuses on the descriptive method, which I used in my research. The data was gained from the children`s personal files, kept by diagnostic institutions, and also from question-forms filled by the children and their social workers. The findings show that the children social functioning is very individual and depends on many factors. Enhanced attention of helping professions should be focused to help and support family functioning as a whole. The total number of words is 11 343.
