Modern structured products as investment instruments

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zhodnotit současné postavení strukturovaných produktů mezi ostatními investicemi do cenných papírů a zodpovědět, zda velikost předpokládaných výnosů těchto produktů dokáže pokrýt riziko investora. Práce řeší, zda je současná znalost těchto produktů na takovéto úrovni, že investoři investují s přílišným rizikem. Ke splnění cíle byly využity sekundární i primární data. Zdrojem sekundárních dat byly statistiky Burzy cenných papírů Praha. Primární sběr dat vycházel z dotazníku a řízených rozhovorů. Cílem dotazníku bylo především zjistit, zda potencionální investoři mají dostatečně silné znalosti o těchto produktech.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to evaluate the current position of structured products among other investments in securities and answer whether the amount of the expected returns of these products can cover the risk of the investor. The thesis addresses whether the current knowledge of these products is at such a level that investors invest with too much risk. Secondary and primary data were used to meet the target. The source of secondary data was the statistics of the Prague Stock Exchange. The primary data collection was based on a questionnaire and guided interviews. The main goal of the questionnaire was to find out whether potential investors have strong enough knowledge about these products.
