In the Public Interest: The Influence of the Physically Disadvantaged on Decision-Making Process Regarding the Obstacle-Free Modifications of the Public Space

Abstract:

Práce vycházející z vlastního kvalitativního terénního výzkumu autorky se zabývá otázkou vlivu invalidních osob, zde skupiny externích poradců, na podobu veřejného prostoru ve vybrané lokalitě pohledem antropologie politik. Popisuje pozici skupiny v rámci byrokratického procesu, seznamuje s cíli, jichž chce dosáhnout, a s prostředky, které k dosažení cílů používá.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis, based on the author´s qualitative field research, deals with the influence of the disabled, here a group of external consultants, on the form of public space in a selected locality from the point of view of anthropology of policy. It describes the position of the group within the bureaucratic process, explains the objectives which the group wants to achieve and specifies its means used to achieve the objectives.
