Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této diplomové práce je koncept FinTech inovačních hubů a regulatorních sandboxů. FinTech inovační huby a regulatorní sandboxy jsou také označováni společným termínem inovační facilitátoři. Finanční regulátoři po celém světě začali inovační facilitátory v posledních letech využívat díky dynamickému rozvoji FinTech odvětví, nových technologií a inovativních řešení. Vzhledem k inovativnosti tohoto přístupu (první regulatorní sandbox byl založen teprve v roce 2015), nebyl doposud v akademickém prostředí detailně prozkoumán. Diplomová práce vysvětluje rozdíly mezi jednotlivými typy inovačních facilitátorů, jejich přínosy a rizika. Diplomová práce také nabízí přehled inovačních facilitátorů, který byl zpracován na základě detailního průzkumu národních finančních regulátorů v zemích Evropské Unie a v dalších evropských zemích. Tento přehled může naznačit, které země zastávají proaktivní přístup vůči inovacím ve finančním odvětví a kde je koncentrováno nejvíce zkušeností se zaváděním nových řešení díky aktivnímu zapojení FinTech společností a finančních regulátorů. Diplomová práce také nabízí základní atributy pro rozlišení prozkoumaných inovačních facilitátorů.

Abstract:

This Thesis examines the concept of FinTech innovation hubs and regulatory sandboxes, commonly referred to as innovation facilitators, as mechanisms utilized by the supervisors and regulators of the financial market in recent years in reaction to rapid FinTech development and the emergence of new technologies and innovative solutions. This concept being new (the first regulatory sandbox was established in 2015), is examined on the academic level only to a limited extent. This Thesis explains the differences between these innovation facilitator types and outlines the benefits and risks associated with each type. The Thesis also provides an overview of the established innovation facilitators by thorough research of the national financial regulators in the European Union and other European countries. This overview can indicate which countries have the most proactive approach to financial innovation and where the experience with introducing the new solutions by the active participation of both FinTech companies and the supervisor is the most extensive. Finally, the Thesis also provides the elementary differentiators of the individual innovation facilitators researched.
