Painting forgery with special attention to Bohumil Samuel Kečíř

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce je nastínit způsob, jakým lze postupovat při odhalování falza v malířství, potažmo poukázat na směr, jakým lze analyzovat dostupné zdroje v procesu ověřování pravosti díla. První část se zaměřuje na teoretická východiska fenoménu falzifikace v malířství prizmatem filozofie umění. Popisuje základní poznatky z hlediska tvorby falza a jeho následné identifikace. Překládá poznatky z oblasti ověřování pravosti díla a zabývá se konkrétními kauzami falzifikace malířského díla. Druhá část práce je analýzou dostupných zdrojů života a díla Bohumila Samuela Kečíře. Na základě předložených teoretických východisek problematiky falzifikace konfrontuje práce soubor děl Bohumila Samuela Kečíře. Práce si klade za cíl propojit teoretická východiska s kontextem nashromážděných informací o malíři, a tím nastínit směr, jakým se lze ubírat při analýze informací o uměleckém díle.

Abstract:

The main aim of the thesis is to outline the way in which we can proceed in revealing the falsification in painting, or to point out the direction in which the available resources can be analyzed in the process of verification of the work's authenticity. The first part focuses on the theoretical basis of the phenomenon of falsification in painting by the prism of art philosophy. It describes the basic knowledge from the point of view of making the forger and its subsequent identification. It translates knowledge from the field of the authenticity of a work and deals with specific cases of falsification of painting. The second part is an analysis of available sources of life and work of Bohumil Samuel Kečíř. On the basis of the presented theoretical basis of the issue of falsification, the work confronts a set of works by Bohumil Samuel Kečíř. The aim of the thesis is to connect the theoretical background with the context of the collected information about the painter, thus outlining the direction that can be taken when analyzing information about the work of art.
