The Formation of Gymnastic Motor Skills in Motor Learning Process

Abstract:

Cílem disertační práce je experimentální ověření průběhu motorického učení v podmínkách běžné tělovýchovné praxe. Konkrétně se jedná o: 1. Určení rozdílu v úrovni osvojení a retenci vybraných pohybových dovedností ve sportovní gymnastice při použití tří rozdílných vyučovacích metod. 2. Určení míry závislosti úrovně osvojení vybraných pohybových dovedností ve sportovní gymnastice na úrovni motorické docility a vrozené inteligence (intelektového potenciálu) cvičenců. Aplikace zvolených vyučovacích metod probíhala po dobu dvou měsíců, 1x týdně na skupiny studentů KTV FPE ZČU v Plzni. Studenti byli rozděleni do 3 skupin. Každá skupina absolvovala nácvik shodných cvičebních tvarů sportovní gymnastiky /salto vpřed, přemet vpřed, kotoul vzad do stoje na rukou/ jednou ze tří odlišných didaktických metod. Skupina č. 1 obdržela verbální instrukci, ukázku a zpětnou informaci od pedagoga, skupina č. 2 obdržela instrukci, ukázku a zpožděnou zpětnou informaci sledováním videozáznamu metodiky nácviku jednotlivých cvičebních tvarů a vlastního nácviku. Skupina č. 3 byla instruována a zpětnou informaci obdržela shodně jako skupina č.2, ale nácvik probíhal metodou „rozptýlené praxe“. Všichni studenti pak byli v průběhu 8 týdnů nácviku /kromě tréninkových jednotek/, a po jeho skončení, požádáni o netrénování daných cvičebních tvarů SG. Dále byli požádáni o provedení daných cvičebních tvarů po šesti měsících od zakončení nácviku pro testování retence daných pohybových dovedností. Před zahájením vlastního výzkumu byly vytvořeny 2 pilotní skupiny studentů a proveden pilotní průzkum. Byly použity dvě vyučovací metody (shodné se skupinou 2 a 3) pro nácvik kotoulu vzad do stoje na rukou během 3 týdnů. Po osmi týdnech nácviku Mann – Whitney test pro hodnocení dvou nezávislých výběrů neodhalil statisticky významné rozdíly u skupin pilotního průzkumu, ani mezi skupinami vlastního výzkumu. Po zpracování retenčního testování se však objevil signifikantní rozdíl výsledků u skupiny, která užívala metodu rozptýlené praxe. Výsledky druhé části výzkumu odhalily, že mezi dosaženými výsledky v IOWA BRACE testu (úroveň motorické docility) a úrovní osvojení vybraných gymnastických pohybových dovedností po osmi týdnech nácviku (třech týdnech u pilotní studie) a v testu T. I. P. (úroveň intelektového potenciálu) a úrovní osvojení vybraných gymnastických pohybových dovedností po osmi týdnech nácviku (třech týdnech u pilotní studie) existuje lineární statistická závislost.

Abstract:

The aim of this disertation is to determine the difference in how the motor skills in sport gymnastics are acquired and retained using one of three teaching methods and to determine relation between: 1. the level of intellect potencial (inherent intelligence) and the level of acquiring of choosen sport gymnastic motor skills in the motor learning initial phases (after 8 weeks of training). 2. the level of motor docility and the level of acquiring of choosen sport gymnastic motor skills in the motor learning initial phases (after 8 weeks of training). Application of the choosen teaching methods was in process during two months, once a week. Students of physical education at FPE ZČU in Pilsen were divided into three groups. Each group has received training in the three identical acrobatic exercises. Group 1 was trained by the teacher, who gave them verbal instruction, pattern and feedback. Group 2 received training via videotape observation. Group 3 received training identically as group 2, but with method of random practice. All students were required to practise mentioned exercises only in training lessons and to return back after six months for retention testing. Before starting the main research the pilot study was conducted. Two groups of students received training in one acrobatic exercise using two teaching methods (received training as group 2 and group 3) for three weeks. Comparing three teaching methods no significant differences were demonstrated in acquisition of the sport gymnastic motor skills (after 8 weeks of training), neither between groups of the pilot study nor among groups of the main research. But Mann – Whitney test revealed significant differences in retention of the level of the acquiring acrobatic exercises in group, which trained choosen skills with the method of random practice. This method helped to improve retention of the sport gymnastic motor skills probably because gymnast generate the whole motor program during each trial. Results of the second part of our research show the linear dependence of the level of acquiring of choosen sport gymnastic motor skills in the motor learning initial phases, the level of motor docility and of inherent inteligence of gymnasts. We believe that it is possible to predict the level of gymnastic motor skills on the bases of the results in test of motor docility and in test of intellect potencial. We hope that thoughts, knowledges and results of our disertation could influence point of view and opinions of teachers in sense of structuralization of practice and improving the quality of physical education.
