Těžiště práce tvoří průzkumné šetření povědomí laické veřejnosti o vybraných restriktivních postupech, jejich informovanosti o indikacích a kompetencích, které se váží k používání vybraných restriktivních metod a jejich nesouhlasu k používání vybraných restriktivních metod. Analýza a interpretace získaných dat poukazuje na nedostatečnou informovanost laické veřejnosti o používání vybraných restriktivních metod pomocí různých informačních zdrojů, čímž je ovlivněn názor na jejich používání. Apeluje na důležitost a opodstatněnost vyšší nabídky kvalitních informací o této problematice laické veřejnosti.

It deals with the use of net beds, therapeutic isolation and physical restriction of patients in beds. The core of the thesis is the research of general public knowledge about the chosen restrictive procedures, how well they are informed about the indications and competences related to the use of chosen restrictive methods and their disagreement with the use of chosen restrictive methods. The analysis and interpretation of gathered data points out an insufficient knowledge of general public about the use of chosen restrictive methods through various information sources, which influences their opinion on the use. It stresses the significance and validity of offering more high-quality information about this problem to the general public.
