Abstract:
Cílem práce je seznámit čtenáře s postavami v knihách o čaroději Harry Potterovi, které pocházejí z lidových pohádek Velké Británie. Práce zkoumá to, do jaké míry se Rowlingová lidovými pohádkami inspirovala a jak a proč změnila charakteristiku jednotlivých postav oproti jejich vyobrazení v lidových pohádkách. Abstract:
The thesis inquires into characters in Harry Potter books that originate in the folk fairy tales of the British Isles. Two research questions are dealt with in the thesis. First, to what extent Rowling inspired herself in the British folk tales. Second, why and how did she change the depiction of these creatures in her books as opposed to their depiction in folk tales.
