In this thesis we focus on the motif of the Duvalier dictatorship in Haiti in the novels of female authors. We present the history of Haiti by focusing on the milestones of the 20th century. We then describe Duvalier's dictatorship and its characteristics, the evolution of Haitian literature and the position of women within it as well as within the society. Dans le travail présenté nous nous consacrons au motif de la dictature de Duvalier a Haiti dans les oeuvres romanesques au féminin. Nous y présentons l'histoire d'Haiti en se concentrant sur les événements marquants du XXe siecle.
