Tato práce se zabývá institutem narovnání v trestním řízení a jeho postavení v dnešní justici. V první části se práce zabývá odklony a jejich historií. Následující kapitoly jsou zaměřeny pouze na institut narovnání a jeho platné právní úpravě, komparaci narovnání s podmíněným zastavením trestního stíhání a Probační a mediační službě.
