Lipid Nanoparticles as Carries of Active Substances in Cosmetics and Pharmacy

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o lipidových nanočásticích a jejich možnému využití jako nosičů aktivních látek v kosmetice a farmacii. Vzhledem k bariérové funkci kůže je dodávání aktivních látek transdermální cestou problematické. Lipidové nanočástice, díky svým rozměrům, dokáží kožní bariéru překonat a doručit aktivní látku na cílené místo. Praktická část diplomové práce se blíže zabývá přípravou nanostrukturovaných lipidových nosičů (NLC) s enkapsulovanou aktivní látkou. Nejprve byla provedena preformulační studie a následně byly homogenizační metodou "za horka" připraveny NLC s enkapsulovanou aktivní látkou, kanabidiolem. U takto připravených systémů byla provedena fyzikalně-chemická charakterizace a stabilitní studie. Na závěr byly připravené NLC obsahující kanabidiol použity pro přípravu Pickeringových emulzí, v jejichž olejové fázi byl přítomen oleoresin obsahující antioxidant astaxanthin.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on lipid nanoparticles and their application as carriers of active substances in cosmetics and pharmacy. Due to the barrier function of the skin, transdermal delivery of active ingredients is problematic. Because of their small size, lipid nanoparticles can penetrate the skin barrier and deliver the active ingredients to the targeted site. The experimental part of the thesis deals in more detail with nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) with encapsulated active substances. First, a preformulation study was conducted, and then NLCs with the encapsulated active ingredient - cannabidiol were prepared by the "hot homogenization" method. Physicochemical characterization and stability studies were carried out on the systems prepared in this way. Finally, the canabidiol-containing NLCs were used to prepare Pickering emulsions containing oil phase, in which astaxanthin oleoresin was present.
