Security business in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá podnikáním v bezpečnosti na území České republiky a informacemi, které jsou s tím spjaté. Teoretická část se věnuje bezpečnostnímu systému, podnikání obecně a především historií a současností komerční bezpečnosti, kdy jsou podrobněji přiblíženy její začátky, současná i navrhovaná právní úprava, financování a pravomoci bezpečnostních pracovníků. Důležitým mezníkem v závěru teoretické části je vládní návrh zákona o soukromé bezpečnostní činnosti. Tento právní předpis v České republice již dlouho chybí a Česká republika patří k několika málo zemím v Evropě, které nemají tuto oblast upravenou samostatným zákonem. Praktická část práce je věnována především expertním rozhovorům s českými podnikateli, kteří podnikají v oboru komerční bezpečnosti. Pomocí expertního rozhovoru je možné potvrdit nebo vyvrátit hypotézy, které si autor určil na začátku praktické části. Přínos práce spočívá v získání informací v oblasti soukromého bezpečnostního sektoru a přehledném zmapování tohoto oboru.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with business in security in the Czech Republic and information related to it. The theoretical part deals with the security system, business and its history in our territory and especially private security services, which discusses their history, current status, financing, powers of security staff. An important milestone at the end of the theoretical part is the bill on private security activities. This law is missing in the Czech Republic and we are one of the few countries in Europe that do not have this area regulated by a separate law. The practical part of the work is mainly devoted to an expert interview with a Czech businessman who does business in the already mentioned field. With the help of an expert interview, it is possible to confirm or refute the hypotheses that the author determined at the beginning of the practical part. The contribution of the work was in obtaining information in the field of security sector and mapping of this field.
