This bachelor thesis focuses on the British island of Holy Island. The thesis will be divided into two parts. The first part will focus on the island itself with regard to the history and the present situation and the second part will be devoted to St. Cuthbert as a patron of Northern England and a bishop at Lindisfarne. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na britský ostrov Holy Island. Práce bude rozdělelena na dvě části. První část se zaměří na ostrov samotný s ohledem na historii i současnost a druhá část se bude věnovat sv. Cuthbertovi jakožto patronovi severní Anglie a biskupovi na Lindisfarne.
