Self - efficacy in Paterning Maternal care in puerperal women

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zjistit a zhodnotit sebejistotu matek v péči o dítě v období šestinedělí. Dílčím cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit, zda sebejistota ženy je ovlivněna věkem, vzděláním, počtem narozených dětí, způsobem porodu, rodinným stavem a absolvováním předporodních kurzů. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 150 žen po porodu hospitalizovaných v Městské nemocnici v Ostravě na oddělení šestinedělí. Dotazníkové šetření bylo prováděno v období od října 2014 do března 2015 pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku Hodnocení sebejistoty rodiček v péči o dítě v období šestinedělí (Self?efficacy in paterning maternal care in puerperal women). Výsledky: Ženy byly nejvíce sebejisté v krmení, přebalování, koupání dítěte, v schopnosti projevit mu lásku, utěšit plačící dítě a v pozitivní interakci na matku. Nejméně sebejisté ženy byly u schopnosti rozeznat únavu a nemoci na svém dítěti a schopnosti rozeznat danou potřebu dítěte. Vyššího skóre dosáhly vícerodičky než prvorodičky. Ženy nad 40 let, ženy po spontánním porodu a vdané ženy dosáhly nejvyšších hodnot sebejistoty. Ženy, které nechodily na předporodní kurzy, byly sebejistější v péči o dítě než ženy, které kurz navštěvovaly. Závěr: Podpora sester či porodních asistentek matkám v péči o dítě je velmi důležitá. Čas, trpělivost a edukace je jednou ze základních předpokladů v pomoci a správného vysvětlení daných činností. Porodní asistentka by se měla více zaměřit na edukaci a kontrolu u prvorodiček, mladších žen, žen s doktorským titulem či žen svobodných a rozvedených, u kterých by mohla být nejistá sociální situace. Větší pozornost a trpělivost si také vyžadují ženy po císařském řezu či vakuumextraktoru. Klíčová slova: šestinedělí, kojení, sebejistota, novorozenec, péče o dítě

Abstract:

Aim: The object of the thesis was to find out and evaluate self-efficacy of mothers in childcare during the period of puerperium. Another object of the work was to discover if the self-efficacy is related to the age, education, a number of children, type of childbirth, marital status and prenatal courses. Methods: There was a group of 150 women included in the research. All of them stayed at the postpartum department in the City Hospital in Ostrava. The data were collected from October 2014 to March 2015 via standard questionnaire with the title Self ? efficacy in paterning maternal care in puerperal women. Multiparas showed better self-efficacy than primiparas. The highest level of self-efficacy was distinguished among women who were more than 40 years old, women after spontaneous delivery and married women. Women who did not attend prenatal courses showed higher level of self-efficacy than women who attended them. Results: The best results of self-efficacy were determined in the ability to feed the baby, change the nappies, give the bath, love the child, calm down crying baby and positive interaction between mother and her child. Minimum negative answers appeared in these topics. The most negative answers were found in the ability of mothers to distinguish when the baby is tired or ill and what the child needs at that moment. Conclusion: The support of midwives to mothers in childcare is very important. Time, patience and education are essential conditions to be able to help and explain particular activities. Midwives shoud focus more on primaparas, younger women, women with doctorate degree or single and divorced women in insecure social situation to educate and check them. More attention and patience should also be devoted to women after Caesarean section or vacuum extraction. Keywords: puerperium, breast-feeding, self-efficacy, newborn, childcare
