Idiomatic phrases with somatic component "hand" in Russian and Czech languages

Abstract:

This thesis examines the evolution and usage of phraseologisms using the word “hand” in Czech and Russian. The thesis is divided into two parts – a theoretical and a practical one. In the theoretical part we examine the current status of the research in our given area. We explain what are phraseology and the characteristic qualities of a phraseologism. We describe different types of phraseologisms and their structure. We examine different variants of phraseologisms translations. In the theoretical part, we will draw on the academic works of V. V. Vinogradov, V. Mokienko, F.K. Guzhva and others. We utilize the theoretical part when examining the phraseologisms in the practical part. We analyse selected Russian phraseologisms which we group into several categories according to their use in Czech language. Each phraseologism is accompanied by a commentary to the linguistic means used, the possible use in Russian from the syntax’s point of view and the number of Czech equivalents.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá výzkumem vzniku, vývoje a užití frazeologismů se slovem „ruka“ v českém a ruském jazyce. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V části teoretické se věnujeme zjištění dosavadního stavu bádání v daném oboru. Vysvětlíme, co je to frazeologie, i vlastnosti charakteristické pro frazeologismus. Popíšeme druhy i strukturu frazeologismů. Budeme se věnovat i možným variantám překladu frazeologismů. V teoretické části se budeme opírat o vědecké práce V. V. Vinogradova, V. Mokienka, F. K. Gužvy a dalších. O teoretickou část se budeme opírat při přípravě a výzkumu frazeologických obratů části praktické. V praktické části se budeme věnovat rozboru vybraných ruských frazeologismů, které seřadíme do několika skupin podle jejich užití v českém jazyce. Každý frazeologismus bude doplněn komentářem týkajícím se užitých jazykových prostředků, možnosti jeho použití v ruském jazyce z hlediska syntaxe a počtu jeho ekvivalentů v českém jazyce.
