Formation of autonomy in the period of emerging adulthood

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou autonomie v období vynořující se dospělosti, přičemž je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje kapitolu Vynořující se dospělost a kapitolu Autonomie. Kapitola Vynořující se dospělost se zaměřuje na popis fenoménu vynořující se dospělosti, jeho charakteristikám, vymezení vůči období mladé dospělosti a popisem změn u mladého člověka. V této kapitole jsou uvedeny některé studie vztahující se k vynořující se dospělosti. V kapitole Autonomie je zahrnut popis autonomie, různá hlediska nazírání na autonomii a dále několik studií zaměřených na autonomii v období vynořující se dospělosti. Cílem práce je zjistit míru autonomie u vysokoškolských studentů v období vynořující se dospělosti. Součástí práce je empirický výzkum s použitím dotazníku IDEA pro zjišťování kritérií dospělosti a dotazníku BPNSS pro zjišťování míry autonomie. Vzorek respondentů tvořili vysokoškolští studenti z různých univerzit v České republice. Zjistilo se, že míra autonomie je u vynořujících se dospělých poměrně vysoká, nicméně nijak nesouvisí s jednotlivými charakteristikami vynořující se dospělosti.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis adresses the problematics of authonomy in period of emeging adulthood and is devided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part includes the chapter Emerging adulthood and the chapter Authonomy. The chapter called Emerging adulthood is focused on the description of the phenomenon of emeging adulthood and its characteristics, delimitation of young adulthood era and description of shifts of a young person. There are mentioned few studies that are related to emerging adulthood in this chapter. The chapter called Authonomy consists of the description of authonomy, various views on authonomy and few studies focused on authonomy in young adulthood era. The object of this thesis is to determine the proportion of authonomy of undergraduates in emerging adulthood era. This thesis also consists of the empirical research with usage of IDEA questionnaire for surveys of adulthood criteria and BPNSS questionnaire for surveys of authonomy rate. The sample of respondents was formed by undergraduates from various universities from the Czech Republic. It was found that the rate of authonomy is quite high for emerging adults, however it is unrelated with individual characteristics of emerging adulthood.
