Abstract:
This thesis is concerned with the concept of magical realism in the novel The Famished Road written by a Nigerian writer Ben Okri. The theoretical part deals with the issue of the term magical realism as such and provides the chosen definitions and perspectives of Anglophone and Latin American literary scholars.
