Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou konfliktu v oblasti Jihočínského moře a jeho historickým vývojem. Práce se nejprve věnuje geografické charakteristice oblasti a historickému vývoji konfliktu do první poloviny 20. století, poté analyzuje nároky jednotlivých aktérů sporu o Jihočínské moře a následně srovnává zahraniční politiku Čínské lidové republiky vůči ostatním účastníkům sporu.
