Research on Disabled Candidates´ Employment Opportunities.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá fenoménem nezaměstnanosti, který je širokým celospolečenským problémem nesoucím v sobě i rizika sociálně patologických jevů. Z důvodu obsáhlosti tématu, jsme se zaměřili pouze na část z této problematiky. Tou je možnost pracovního uplatnění se na trhu práce pro znevýhodněné občany. Konkrétně pro uchazeče v evideci úřadu práce mající zdravotní handicap. V empirické části jsme se zaměřili na kvalitativně orientovaný výzkum sestávající ze čtrnácti případových studií vybraných probandů, u kterých jsme použili metodu pozorování, analýzu spisové dokumentace a polostrukturovaného interview. Cílem naší práce bylo zjistit možnosti pracovního uplatnění uchazečů se zdravotním handicapem. Z výsledků šetření uvedených respondentů vyplývají určité shodné charakteristiky. Tedy, že vnímání svých šancí, možnosti znovu se uplatnit na trhu práce, přímo nesouvisí s rozsahem zdravotního postižení ani s reálnou poptávkou po dané profesi. Hodnocení probandů je z velké části jejich subjektivním pohledem, často neodrážejícím realitu. V takovém případě je vhodný korekční zásah odborných sociálních pracovníků. Včasná nabídka pomocné ruky a empatická spolupráce s uchazečem výrazně zvyšuje jeho šanci práci znovu získat.

Abstract:

This thesis is interested in the phenomenon of unemployment which is a wide-spread social problem carrying risks of social-pathological events. Since the topic is too comprehensive, we decided to deal with a part of it only, i.e. opportunities of disabled candidates? employment, namely handicapped candidates filed in employment office register. In the research part of this thesis we focused on qualitative research employing fourteen case studies of chosen probands, where we used method of observation, analysis of documentation and semi-structured interview. Our objective was to find out what possibilities of employment of disabled candidates are. Certain concurrent characteristics are shown in the research outcomes. First, perception of chances of getting employed again are related neither to extent of handicap, nor to the real demand in a given profession. Valuation of the probands is predominantly a subjective matter, often not reflecting reality. In such a case a correcting intervention of a specialized social worker is advisable. Well timed offer of a helping hand and an empathic cooperation with a candidate increases their chance of getting a job again.
