Self-help Treatment of Social Anxiety Disorder by usage electronic and printed Sources with Focus on Information Behavior

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá informačním chováním jedinců při samoléčbě sociální úzkostné poruchy pomocí elektronických a tištěných zdrojů. V teoretické části práce je charakterizována sociální úzkostnou porucha a jsou popsány možnosti samoléčby této nemoci pomocí biblioterapie, cinema terapie a mobilních aplikací. Praktickou část práce tvoří kvalitativní výzkum, kdy bylo za pomoci metody informačních horizontů a rozhovoru zkoumáno, jakým způsobem jedinci se sociální úzkostnou poruchou vyhledávají a dále využívají elektronické a tištěné zdroje. V závěru práce předkládá seznam zdrojů vhodných k samoléčbě této nemoci.

Abstract:

The Master´s thesis deals with the information behavior of individuals who go through the self-help treatment of a social anxiety disorder using electronic and printed sources. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes social anxiety disorder and describes possibilities of self-helping treatment of this illness using bibliotherapy, cinematherapy and mobile applications. The practical part of the thesis consists of qualitative research, where using a method of information horizons and interviews, individuals with a social anxiety disorder were examined in order to clarify their way of searching and further using the electronic and printed sources. In the end, the thesis presents a list of sources suitable for self-help treatment of this illness.
